Cookie Categories
- Necessary: session, security (CSRF) and remembering that you have seen the cookie notice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies, used on every visit once the page has loaded, to measure how the site is used.
- Our own measurement: Page views and venue actions are counted on our own server, without cookies or any persistent identifier. Visitors are distinguished by a one-way digest (hash) that is renewed every day, so your visits on different days cannot be linked to one another. To tell new visits from returning ones, only the date of your first visit to the site is kept in your browser's local storage. This date does not identify you and is not sent to our server; the server is told only whether you have visited the site on an earlier day.
- Marketing: third-party cookies for retargeting. These are not currently used.
- Map: Mapbox may keep map tiles and usage counters in your browser's local storage in order to display the map quickly; these are not cookies and operate independently of consent.
Managing Cookies
You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings. If you do not want Google Analytics to measure you on any website, you can use Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking necessary cookies may stop some features of the site from working. You can delete the first-visit date by clearing this site's data in your browser; your next visit will then be counted as a new one.
Retention
Necessary cookies are retained for the duration of the session or for a maximum of 120 minutes; the record that you have seen the cookie notice for 12 months, and Google Analytics cookies for a maximum of 2 years. The first-visit date in local storage is kept until you clear your browser data.
