Germike Termal Otel

Germike Termal Otel is in the village of Bozağakaraderbent in Tunceli's Pülümür district, 13 kilometres from the district centre; it is 75 kilometres from Erzincan and 81 kilometres from the centre of Tunceli. It takes its name from the hot spring, called germike ('hot spring' in Kirmanjki), that rises beside a small stream just below the village. Recognisable by its steam and pale yellow colour, the spring has been used for centuries by people from the surrounding villages and from beyond Pülümür.
According to the business, before any building went up the spring was an earthen pool covered with leaves, used in turn by men and by women. The first building here was constructed in 1957 on behalf of the Tunceli Special Provincial Administration; it was designed with two separate sections for women and men, and this layout has been preserved to this day.
The three-star hotel has single and double rooms as well as 16 three-person family rooms. Alongside the thermal pools there is a sauna, a cafeteria and a restaurant; guests staying at the hotel can use the thermal pools 24 hours a day. The business had announced that visitors not staying at the hotel can also use the thermal pool for a fee.
