The Sign Kocaeli Thermal Spa Hotel

The Sign Kocaeli Thermal Spa Hotel & Convention Center is in the Yeniköy Merkez neighbourhood of Başiskele, a district of Kocaeli. On the southern shore of the Gulf of İzmit, the hotel has 164 rooms: 151 standard rooms, 11 suites and 2 accessible rooms, all with sea or mountain views. Operating on a bed-and-breakfast basis, the hotel also has a restaurant, several bars, and meeting and wedding halls.
The hotel's spa is the 5,000 m² Ab-ı Hayat Spa centre. The temperatures of the thermal pools and wet areas range from 36 to 42 °C depending on their function. The men's area has a 150 m² thermal swimming pool; the women's area has another 150 m² thermal pool along with a Turkish bath, a sauna, a steam room and relaxation areas. The mixed area has a 250 m² thermal pool, a hammam, a sauna and a steam room; two private thermal VIP rooms can also be rented.
Spa services include massage, aroma and rejuvenation sessions. The thermal water comes from a spring containing fluoride, silicon and boron, with a total mineralisation of 455 mg/L. In summer, an outdoor swimming pool and an aquapark with four slides are open; there is also a fully equipped fitness room used all year round.
The spa is open every day from 09.00 to 22.00. With its separate women's section and large thermal pools, it is a good option for families, couples and anyone planning a short weekend break. There is no thermal water in the rooms; thermal bathing takes place in the spa area. For use without staying and current conditions, you need to contact the hotel in advance.
