Sauna in Adana

Of the three venues in Adana offering a sauna, two are hammams in Seyhan and one is a sports club in Yüreğir; there are no hotel spas on the list. At these venues the sauna comes as part of a hammam day or a workout rather than as a separate spa visit.

The hammams in Seyhan and the club in Yüreğir

Tarihi Irmak Hamamı, in the Ulucamii neighbourhood of central Seyhan, has a sauna and steam room in the same building as the traditional kese (exfoliating scrub) and foam massage; you can warm up in the sauna and then have a kese in a single visit. Mestan Bath, also in Seyhan, offers the trio of hammam, sauna and kese in the city centre. S Fitness Club & Spa on Hacı Sabancı Bulvarı in Yüreğir is a fitness club: the sauna and steam room are next to the training areas and come with a towel service. Ask in advance whether the club's sauna is open to members only or also with a day pass.

Choosing a sauna in Adana

In Adana's long, hot summer, cooling down and drinking some water first makes for a more comfortable start than coming in from outside and going straight into the sauna. The records do not say whether the two hammams have separate sections or separate hours for women and men; phone before you go.
