Kese in Ankara

Of the three venues in Ankara offering kese (exfoliating scrub), two are hotel spas in Çankaya and one is a thermal hotel in Kızılcahamam; all three have kese, foam massage and a sauna on the same premises. On this list kese is done not in a neighbourhood hammam but in a hotel spa or thermal resort setting, and the length, arrangements and price are shaped accordingly.

Two spas in Çankaya: Dayinn Spa in Çukurambar offers kese and foam wash alongside its themed Day Spa packages; as it also has a body scrub, you can choose between kese and a product-based scrub. Sakura Touch Luxury Spa offers hammam rituals and massage packages with sauna, given by Asian therapists; besides kese and foam, its services include body masks and body treatments.

Thermal kese in Kızılcahamam: at Çam Thermal Resort & Spa Hotel in Soğuksu National Park, kese and foam are on the same premises as the mineral hot-spring pools and family hammams. You can warm up in the thermal pool before moving on to the kese; ask separately whether kese is done in the family hammams.

When booking: ask whether you can choose to have the kese done by a female or male attendant, whether the kese mitt is personal or single-use, and whether the foam massage is included in the price. If you have sunburn, an open wound or irritated skin, put the kese off; if your skin is sensitive, ask the attendant to go gently.
