About Jacuzzi in Istanbul
All five venues in Istanbul offering a jacuzzi are hotel spas; three are on the European side (Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Şişli) and two on the Asian side (Üsküdar, Ataşehir). At all of them the jacuzzi comes with a sauna and a Turkish bath, and at four of them with a steam room as well, so using the jacuzzi depends on how you get into the venue's wet area.
Spas with a jacuzzi, from the Bosphorus shore to Taksim
Rituelle Spa in Paşalimanı, Üsküdar, is in a hotel with Bosphorus views; besides the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room it also has a couples' massage room. Aurel Spa, at the Occidental Hotel in Taksim, says it offers outside guests a 180-minute day-use option; an important detail for anyone who wants to use the jacuzzi without staying at the hotel. Palestra Fitness Spa in İçerenköy, Ataşehir, is run like a sports club inside the Marriott Hotel Asia; here the jacuzzi is in the same building as the indoor and outdoor pools and the training areas.
Choosing a spa with a jacuzzi
How you get to the jacuzzi varies from one Istanbul hotel spa to the next: in some the wet area opens with a massage or hammam booking, in others with a day pass, and in others only to hotel guests and members. When you book, ask which applies, how long you can stay in the wet area and whether you need to reserve ahead for the weekend. Rituelle Spa and Explore Spa in Etiler are listed as mixed; swimwear is usually required in mixed areas.
