CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La Bosphorus

CHI, The Spa is inside the Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul hotel on the Bosphorus shore in Beşiktaş's Sinanpaşa neighbourhood. Opened together with the hotel in 2013, the spa was presented as the first in Europe from Shangri-La's CHI brand. The menu draws on Asian and Turkish treatment traditions; there are eight treatment suites, two of them for couples.
Hammam treatments can be taken in the shared hammam or in a private hammam suite for up to two people; the shared hammam is open only to guests of the same sex. Options range from a short foam massage to the traditional kese (exfoliating scrub) and foam wash, and on to longer rituals finished with an organic clay mask, hair care and oils. The massage menu includes Asian Blend, Chinese acupressure, Thai, deep tissue, hot stone, foot reflexology, sports massage, four-hand massage and pregnancy massage; facials and body scrubs are also offered.
The hotel's health club has a heated indoor pool, a separate children's pool and a gym; the changing rooms have a hot jacuzzi.
The spa is open every day from 10.00 to 22.00, and the pool and gym from 07.00 to 22.00. Booking in advance is recommended and guests are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before their appointment; cancellations made less than four hours in advance are charged. Spa attire is provided by the venue; under-16s may come only with an adult.
