Ayasofya Hürrem Sultan Hamamı
About
Built by Mimar Sinan in 1556, Hürrem Sultan Hamamı welcomes guests amid historic Ottoman architecture on Ayasofya Meydanı (Hagia Sophia Square) in Fatih, Istanbul. The building has separate sections for women and men, where traditional hammam rituals and massage therapies are offered.
The treatment programmes include special packages of different lengths and content, such as Pir-ü Pak, Keyf-i Hamam, Zevk-i Sefa and Ab-ı Hayat. All treatments use the hammam's own products with Judas tree (erguvan) extract, and the foam massage and kese (exfoliating scrub) stages are accompanied by aromatherapy, anti-stress, back and reflexology massages.
Every visitor is given a personal care kit containing a kese, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and slippers. Ottoman sherbet, Turkish tea and Turkish delight are served during the rest stages, and there is also a restaurant on site. Anyone wishing to spend time in this historic setting needs to book before visiting.
