About
Çemberlitaş Hamamı is a double hammam commissioned in 1584 on behalf of Nurbanu Sultan, mother of Murad III, and attributed to Mimar Sinan. It stands on Vezirhan Caddesi, a few minutes from the Çemberlitaş stop on the T1 tram. There are separate sections for women and men, and guests are looked after by attendants of the same sex.
The hammam is open every day, 06:00-00:00. There is no time limit on the classic entry; towel, soap, shampoo and slippers are included in the price, and if you would like a kese (exfoliating scrub) and foam wash you can add the 15-minute treatment. As well as packages with aromatherapy oil massage, Indian head massage and foot massage, there are face masks, manicures and pedicures for women. Prices are published in both TL and euros.
